ABOUT MY COMPANY
Younes + Espiner Lawyers specialise in criminal, regulatory and disciplinary matters and are highly respected within the legal industry. For the third year in a row, we have been recognised as a ‘first tier’ firm in the peer-nominated Doyle’s Guide for NSW Criminal Defence firms.
We represent clients charged with a wide range of serious criminal law matters, appearing in courts throughout NSW on a daily basis and, when required, nationally. We are accomplished solicitor advocates, appearing in the Local, District and Supreme Courts in release (bail) applications, contested hearings and committals, sentence proceedings, appeals and other applications. We collaborate with leading barristers from around Australia working on trials and appeals in the District and Supreme Court, the Court of Criminal Appeal and the High Court of Australia.
As well as representing clients in criminal matters we also specialise in regulatory and disciplinary matters including ASIC investigations, ACCC investigations and disciplinary proceedings for health, legal and other professionals facing allegations of misconduct in the workplace.
ABOUT ME
I am a Law Society of NSW Accredited Specialist in Criminal Law, meaning that my expertise and competence has been recognised within the legal profession.
I co-founded Younes + Espiner Lawyers with the goal of providing individual attention and exceptional legal service to my clients. I recognise the value of professional collaboration and teamwork and work closely with other lawyers within the firm and with experienced barristers to ensure that each of my clients receives the highest level of service.
Much of my practice is devoted to representing clients in the District and Supreme Courts who have been charged with very serious criminal law matters including murder, sexual offences, drug offences, serious assaults and corporate offences. I also appear in Local Court matters for clients, particularly when their personal and professional reputations are at risk.
I also have a significant appellate practice, providing advice and representation to clients seeking to appeal their conviction and/or sentence from the District Court to the NSW Court of Criminal Appeal.
In addition to appearing in court, an important part of my practice involves providing my clients with advice before criminal proceedings are commenced.
One of my strengths is my ability to analyse and explain complex legal issues to my clients in a simple, easy-to-follow way. I am well respected by other members of the profession and the judiciary and am known for my meticulous preparation, persuasive advocacy and professionalism.
For the third successive year, I was recognised individually in the Doyle’s ‘Leading NSW Criminal Defence Lawyers’ Guide. In 2018 I was recognised as one of the state’s Preeminent Criminal Lawyers, ranking my in the top band of lawyers in the state.
